Typically common sense and down to earth our only critisism would be that whilst everything Mrs Sykes says applies 100% to the Border Collie it may be a little wide of the mark for say - an Afgan Hound or a Manchester Terrier, none-the-less this book deserves pride of place. Refreshing to find the black/white /grey area analogy which modern training so often fails to understand.
Cunningly titled to be sure of good sales this is not really about aggression but about relationships (perhaps the same thing). None-the-less the best dog book we have read for many years and a must for every dog and puppy owner. It is reassuring to know that we are not the only ones who are uncomfortable with so called "motivational training".
