In early 2003 our good friend Anna Astrom arrived to take home the puppy
for whom she she had long planned and waited, Anna named her puppy Aska,
which means ash in Swedish. Aska is a Deborah and Hercules daughter, a
sister to Ruth and Rachel and our Special Envoy to Sweden.

Aska is my first Border Collie, long waited for. After a good bit of struggling with papers and transport, I brought her over to Sweden with me. Aska is great little dog, obedient and willing to please, but still having humour and a great personality. She is so good looking but more important, she has got such a good temperament and makes friends with everyone she meets - human or canine. Today she is a happy little dog, still a youngster and growing. A lot was expected from Aska and she has lived up to all of that and more. She likes Sweden very much but a piece of her will always belong in England.
